Macbeth

The Woodville, Woodville Place, Gravesend, DA12 1DD

Dickens Theatre Company present the Bard’s bloodiest tragedy!

Adapted & Directed by Ryan Philpott, Music by Paul Higgs

This fresh new adaptation of the ‘Scottish Play’ arrives back at The Woodville in 2025. With the infamous Porter acting as narrator, an ensemble of 6 actors create a cauldron of characters, as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth make their perilous descent towards Hell. Set against a back-drop of wars, witchery and treasonous plotting, Shakespeare’s ambitious Macbeth remains ominously relevant in the 21st Century.

“What’s done cannot be undone!”

Dickens Theatre Company has been successfully staging classic English literature texts for the UK stage since 2015.

As part of DTC’s ‘Revision on Tour’ (alongside Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde), this Macbeth entertains and educates… to the bitter end.
