Revamp Your Kitchen Cupboard Doors - An International Women’s Day Event

Art Is For All Studios, St George’s Shopping Centre, Gravesend

Revamp Your Kitchen Cupboard Doors (IWD)

We take great pleasure in introducing you to Angela Steele from O-W-E-C.I.C whose company creates employment and training opportunities for Women in Construction. On Friday 8th March, Angela is offering 2, 1 hour, taster sessions for those wanting to learn new, or enhance existing revamping skills.

Revamping is a great way to breathe new life into good furniture and kitchen cupboard doors – and it’s amazing how a simple lick of chalk paint can completely transform an old chair, cupboard door, or table. Follow along with this helpful ‘how to revamp your furniture with chalk paint’. You will be carefully guided, and you’ll have your second-hand furniture looking as good as new in no time at all…

How will I be taught?
You will be taught in a very practical hands-on way, using lots of resources. You will be involved in group work, sharing the materials and equipment on your individual project. You will be allowed to experiment, try new ideas and be creative.

What do I need to bring?
Old clothes you don’t mind getting paint on, and closed toe shoes

What can I do next?
O-W-E-C.I.C offer courses in interior decorating, tiling, wallpapering, and using power tools and revamping and recycling with paint on your own piece.

What do I need to join the course?
Just an interest in revamping your old furniture. This course is suitable for those who want inspiration for their own projects at home or those who wish to start looking into the first steps in starting to do revamping and recycling commercially. This could be complete beginners or those with some experience.
