The Woodville, Civic Centre, Gravesend

Building Confidence Self Defence & Wellbeing Taster Session

We are very excited to welcome Ricky Manetta from MMA KRAV MAGA and MMA Self Defence to take part in our International Women’s Day Celebrations.

With over 30 years of martial arts experience, Ricky will be offering two taster sessions (one for Ages 8 – 14 and the second for Ages 15+) teaching basic self defence skills to help build confidence, and then ending the sessions with a short meditation to enhance wellbeing.

Please feel free to wear your everyday clothes, and please bring water with you.

For those aged 15 and under, a parent or guardian will be required to accompany them throughout the session (there will be seating around the room).

You will be asked to sign a waiver form to take part in the activity.

About Ricky Manetta

Ricky Manetta is the Founder and Senior Instructor of MMA KRAV MAGA and MMA Self Defence.

He had his first taste of martial arts when he was just 9 years old. His journey has taken him through many different styles, and he has made a conscious effort to find and train with some of the best instructors in the world, which he says has helped keep his “open mind” to self defence.

Ricky has multiple clubs and instructors affiliated to him now teaching Mma Krav Maga across London and the surrounding Counties.

He is the Self Defence Instructor for some of the largest trade organisations and teaches courses for both the LTDA, (The largest taxi union in the UK with over 10,000 members) and ‘Dial-A-Cab’ formerly one of the largest Black Taxi radio circuits in London.

Ricky Heads Security Teams working with the Police looking after the safety and security of high profile events such as the Virgin London Marathon and the 2012 London Olympics.

The BBC have produced two small separate documentaries on his life and work around teaching and his anti-bullying campaign.
