Gravesend Borough Market
Ingress Art is showcasing a bunch of talented local makers & artisans:
We at Ingress Art are very excited to partner with Gravesham Fringe Festival this year, putting on a free event with entertainment for the whole family! We have music, craft demonstrations, a handmade & vintage fair, face painting, and some tasty world street food!
Music will be provided by Gravesend’s young talent Sophie Benfold, and Nick Woods taking the stage with acoustic guitars and
songs of their own as well as some well-loved cover versions.
Craft demonstration will be engaging and informal, with organic soap making, easy embroidery, and acrylic painting.
The Handmade & Vintage fair presents local artists and makers who live and work in our area and are keen to meet, discuss their work and sell to the public. Hand-crafted, sustainable, and ethical practices are at the forefront of the group. Amongst our talented artisans, you’ll find organic self-care products, garden decor with lots of fairies, acrylic abstract paintings, jewellery for all occasions, glass fused art, crocheted characters, toys, beeswax and soya candles and wax melts, dried flowers and potted plants from an award-winning florist.
This year we are introducing some of our new members in vintage: upcycled jars and bottles decorated with dotted art that is a way of practicing mindfulness, vintage fabrics from a seamstress bringing wonderful offcuts for dressmaking or the home from household names such as Laura Ashley or Karen Millen…. and everything you need for a vintage tea party ….
This is a family-friendly event to ensure a fun day for all the family. Craft demonstrations are suitable for children, we have a face-painting & glitter artist who will be on standby and decorate the little ones and those who feel young at heart, we have hand-sewn bows and crocheted toys too.
